"Mr. Habachy sucessfully represented our teenage son in a complicated criminal defense case. Mind you, he was the third defense lawyer on our case. The previous attorney adamantly told my family that a plead was the best deal. The plead, would have resulted in 10 years imprisonment and 10 years probation. "In summer 2015 I was charged with a misdemeanor which -- though a very minor offense on the surface -- could have easily impacted my livelihood, my ability to seek gainful employment in the future in my field (education). The evidence was straight-forward, and I expected (and prepared for) the worst.
Mr. Habachy contacted the Solicitor General of the county in which the offense occurred. He explained my situation: how devastating it would be for a such a petty offense on my criminal record to almost certainly keep me from being hired as a teacher ever again. Through a plea negotiation, the Solicitor General agreed to dismiss the charges if I paid a fine, took an education course, and served 40 hours of community service. This was a completely unexpected, virtually miraculous outcome. I never believed the charges could be completely dropped, as I had already used a First Offender status plea for a case of bad judgment back in college.
Throughout his representation, Mr. Habachy was in constant contact with me via email and cell phone (calls and texts). I was always up-to-date on where my case was, each phase as it unfolded, what time and when I needed to be in court. After my plea agreement, he even followed up with me mid-way through my time limit to check in and see that I was completing my community service and the required coursework. And in a final gesture of professionalism and flexibility, when the date came for my charges to be dismissed in court, Mr. Habachy arranged for me to be represented in absentia, as I had undertaken new employment in Tucson, Arizona by that time and would have had hardship trying to return to Georgia for a very short court appearance.

"In February of 2000, my personal actions and poor judgement had landed myself into quite a handful of trouble. Trouble enough to "lend" my life to the state for a good 8-11 years!
